In accordance with standards set out by the Air Transport Authority (ATA), our cases have gone through rigorous testing and meet all of the requirements necessary to claim this rugged rating:
- Exterior laminate of ABS plastic or aluminum.
- 3/8" or 1/2" AC grade exterior plywood.
- Edging is an extruded aluminum double angle secured with pneumatically driven rustproof rivets.
- Aluminum tongue and groove provides secure closure.
- Piano style continuous hinge.
- SESSIONS recessed handles and latches are standard.
- Interiors lined with custom foam.
- Steel corner clamps.
Steel ball corners raise the case 1/4" above a flat surface to prevent excess wear of case covering and protect corners from direct hits.
